♪ It's the Quarantine Life for Me ♪

So it's been awhile since I've written to this blog and so much has happened. There's a global pandemic (Is that redundant?) called COVID-19, aka coronavirus.  And I am very scared. My health is getting worse. My doctor (actually a nurse practitioner) is referring me to a renal specialist. Just one more thing to add to my growing list of diagnoses. Between that, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure and asthma, among other things, I am definitely at high risk for the coronavirus.

I'm now self-isolating for my own protection. That's not difficult for my family as we're mostly introverts anyway. Well, except for my husband. I mean, he's an introvert too but he has to go to the store etc when necessary, for all the good it does. Hoarders and panic buyers are wiping out toilet paper, hand sanitizer and other supplies. On the plus side he won't have to go to my pharmacy very often because they have a delivery service on most of my prescriptions.

As for our usual activities, they won't change. We'll be playing D&D or watching PlutoTV (they have Doctor Who and American Gladiators among other things). And as for myself, I have plenty of ebooks and PDFs to read, along with a few actual books *gasp* like Helter Skelter.

Speaking of D&D, after numerous attempts to get anything close to a long term campaign going and failing miserably, we finally decided that what works best for us is AD&D. My husband homebrewed a Sluagh race for me based on the Sluagh from Changeling: The Dreaming. Among our house rules regards classes and race restrictions. We don't like that. I mention this because my Sluagh (Erzabet Usher) is an Arcanist, taken from the Ravenloft supplement Domains of Dread, which are supposed to be just humans and half-Vistani. And we are actually enjoying this campaign! We're actually having fun! It's easier for us to immerse ourselves in our characters. We know this one is going to last.

We have a second campaign that is just myself and my husband. It's just a little something for us to do when our Fledgling is unavailable. Again I'm playing a Sluagh (Lucrezia Lovecraft). Lucrezia's class required some back-converting from a 3x 3rd party book called The Book of Metal. That book introduced a Goddess named Carpathia. Lucrezia is a Priestess of Carpathia with a Witch kit overlay. We found the Witch kit in The Complete Netbook of Witches & Warlocks. (I hate the word warlock.)

Why yes, I do love Sluagh.
